Campus Intelligent Mobility verwoest door brand
Ingezonden door Bert Vandenberghe op 14. februari 2012 - 13:26In de nacht van 13 op 14 februari 2012 is Groep T’s nieuwe campus in het Business & Research Park van Haasrode door brand vernield. De precieze oorzaak is nog niet bekend, wel staat vast dat de schade groot is. Er vielen geen slachtoffers.
Campus Intelligent Mobility huisvestte een aantal laboratoria waarin onderzoek werd gedaan naar nieuwe vormen van milieuvriendelijke en intelligente mobiliteit. Naast het Umicore Solar Team waren ook het CQS Group T Racing Team en het Formula Group T Team er gevestigd.
De meest recente zonnewagen, de Umicar Imagine, was niet aanwezig tijdens de brand en is dus ongedeerd.
