Adopt A Cell, because your Energy helps us drive If you adopt one new Umicar cell, you are helping us achieve our aim: Participating in the unofficial world championship solar powered car race and finishing 1st in Adelaide, Australia.

The Umicore Solar Team consists of 15 young (ex)students from GROEP T Internationale Hogeschool Leuven. They have been working on this project for 2 years and together with several companies they are building the next Umicar using Belgian top technology. This is the car they will be using to compete in the World Solar Challenge, which takes place in Australia from 18-25 October 2009.

If you adopt at least 1 cell or part, you will automatically be included in our “Adopt A Cell” competition and for each donation of €25 (= 1 cell) you stand a chance of winning a fantastic trip to Australia*.

*The draw for the Adopt A Cell competition will take place on 01/08/09. Prize includes: 1 air travel round trip ticket to Australia at any time you prefer between 01/08/09 and 30/06/10. Stay in Australia not included. The Umicore Solar Team reserves the right to change the date of the draw without notifying the participants.
