Ever since the beginning of my studies, I have followed the Solar Team with great interest. As a Group T student, it is very motivating to see fellow students grow in the solar racing community and achieve fantastic results year after year. So after finishing my bachelor it was a no-brainer for me to sign up for this great team!
As a race engineer, my biggest challenge for the coming year will be to get the team ready for the race, and during the race itself to steer the team to victory. It is very important to be able to make an estimation of how the day will go in terms of energy at the beginning of a race day, based on the incoming solar energy and the capacity of our battery.
The low voltage of the car also plays a big role in this, so it is very useful for me to combine these two functions.
