My fascination for aerodynamics originated from several personal experiences, long before the Solar Team even came into the picture. For the last six years, I've been practicing downhill longboarding in my free time. In longboarding, the aerodynamics play an important role, as your stance influences how fast you race down the mountain. I also came into contact with aerodynamics in a class during my exchange to Boston. I did my master's thesis on the aerodynamics of the Punch One, the previous solar car, with Emmerick - it seemed to be the next logical step to apply for the position of Aerodynamics Engineer at the Solar Team.
Together with Thomas and Emmerick, I am responsible for the final shape of the new solar car. We'll get this shape by drawing out many possible cars and by simulating the air resistance for each vehicle. We're convinced that a good aerodynamic design can lead our team to a victory in Australia.
