Solar Team Twente wins European Championship for solar cars.
This article reviews the "24 hours iLumen European Solar Challenge", raced in September 2016. This was the first competition of our new team in which we finished second after a nerve wrecking race, right behind the Dutch Solar Team Twente.

Solar Team Twente wins European Championship for solar cars
The Dutch Solar Team Twente won the ‘24 hours iLumen European Solar Challenge’ on Sunday with their solar car and may call themselves European champions. The Leuven-based Punch Powertrain Solar Team finished second.
The Leuven-based Punch Powertrain Solar Team, that finished second out of all the competing teams and may call itself vice European champion, reacted delighted. ‘That out of all the competing top universities only Twente preceded us proves that our solar car is amongst the best in the world’ according to spokesperson Thierry Garritsen.”
