Carrera Solar Atacama

The Carrera Solar Atacama, or CSA, is a race through the South-American country of Chile. It is known as the most extreme race for solar vehicles, as the cars travel through the Atacama desert where there is almost endless sunshine and the highest rates of solar radiation in the world. The teams face obstacles such as intense dryness, strong winds and have to climb from 0 to 3000 meters above sea level in one stretch.

The first race was organised in 2011 and the Innoptus Solar Team took part in the 2018 edition, taking home the gold with solar car Punch 2.
