Race Report ADSC 2015
After finishing sixth in the World Solar Challenge, the team wanted to go the extra mile to challenge the Indupol One once more. They traveled to Abu Dhabi to compete in the first (and only) edition of the Abu Dhabi Solar Challenge. As the Indupol One was originally built for the BWSC with reliability in mind, improvements and modifications were done to the car to get ready for the Middle Eastern roads.
The tests drives on the Yas Marina Circuit, the national Formula One circuit, went flawlessly. It was clear from the start that the improvements had made the vehicle significantly faster and more agile.
After a nerve-wrecking race through the desert, the solar car finished in third place. This was the first bronze medal in the history of the Belgian Solar Team!
